The Tinian home as a space for production, processing, hospitality, and the transmission of knowledge. Moderators:
Nikos Gkyzis – President of the Municipal Council of Tinos; Curator of the P.I.I.E.T. Library
Markos Palamaris – Historian, educator, and founder of *Soul of Tinos*
Gastronomy / The “Xeno” (Guest/Foreign) Table
Time: 19:00–21:00
Cooking together in Agapi:
Village residents, locals from across Tinos, project participants, guests, and Italian chef Raffaele Licinio come together to prepare a meal.
Pasta, meatballs, and other dishes are crafted by hand, drawing on the expertise of the participants through an exchange of recipes, techniques, and stories. Cooking becomes a collective act of care, and the table a space for meeting, giving, and sharing.

In Tinos—specifically within the traditional settlement of Agapi—an original, multi-layered artistic initiative will take place from October 9 to 25, 2026. The project encompasses research, educational, and gastronomic activities, as well as screenings, all of which explore and highlight “Care” as a fundamental cultural, social, and spatial value, organically linking it to the intangible cultural heritage of the Cyclades.
The initiative is structured around the concept of care as a cultural, social, and environmental value. It draws its theoretical framework from Italo Calvino’s *Invisible Cities*, a work in which a place is defined not by its physical boundaries, but by the relationships, narratives, and invisible networks that constitute it.
The project examines a community’s historical connection to its environment, approaching the island of Tinos—and the rural village of Agapi—as an “ark of memory.” The organizing entity is NOMO (ΝΩΜΩ) Non-Profit Civil Company, which operates at the intersection of art, science, and technology. The organization has implemented several other projects on Tinos, including the *Toichos* project (2025); *Sculpting Memory* (2024–2025), a monthly residency program for French architects and designers; *ICHNI* (2024), an oral history initiative focused on the island’s ecosystem of traditional crafts; a digital documentation project centered on blacksmithing; and *The Inherited Earth* (2023), an international artist residency program.
